I spent months working 12 hour days cleaning floors and tearing down wallpaper with the baby on my back and the others playing into the playpen. Ha! The home was beginning to look good, but there were a few things to be done. To complete this task I had planned to invest a significant amount of time and money searching for the perfect home. I continued to work on furniture long after we decorated our house. There was a spot on the market in town where I would sell my pieces. I eventually had so many pieces I didn't think of a solution and I outgrew my space. Over 1000 people visited my home over the course of a weekend to purchase everything that was on the ground. Growing Days is the result from this. While my company grew as did our family. I was trying to find that perfect balance between what it took to start a new business while also being a mommy. Growing Days just seemed to work. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora became our fourth child. My business was booming but I was in need of a break. I took a break from furniture that was vintage to enjoy the time I needed with my family. That was precisely what I needed. After a few months when the phones began to ring. Many people called me for help on home improvement and decorating. Most of them were people who walked into my house in my open houses for furniture. As I went along I began adding clients to my list in a series of. However, it didn't take that long before I was managing several clients, and had a successful home remodeling business. If you'd have told me that this business of mine would turn into an idea for a TV show that airs on the DIY Network I probably would have laughed. Actually, I smile at times when I think of the episode.
